How It Works

1

Find your part number

Locate the part number printed on your airbag module label. It will be a combination of letters and numbers (e.g. GJ5T-14B321-AC for Ford, or 0285012835 for Bosch).

2

Search and purchase the reset file

Use the shop search to find your exact part number. Add to cart and complete the instant purchase from £30.

3

Read the EEPROM chip

Remove the airbag module from the vehicle and use a compatible EEPROM programmer (Orange5, VVDI Prog, etc.) to read the memory chip.

4

Write the reset file

Write the downloaded BIN file to the module's EEPROM chip. The file clears all stored crash event data.

5

Reinstall and verify

Reinstall the airbag module. Connect an OBD scanner and confirm the airbag warning light has cleared.

Upload your SRS dump — get the crash data reset file instantly

Drop your .bin or .hex file here — we identify your airbag module and match the correct crash data reset file automatically. When matched, go straight to secure checkout — your reset file is delivered digitally the moment payment clears.

Send your module — UK postal service

Prefer not to program EEPROM yourself? Ship your SRS airbag module, steering angle sensor (SAS), or other supported control unit to us. We bench-service where technically supported and return via tracked post.

  1. Find your part number on the module label and order the matching postal listing in the shop.
  2. Pack the unit securely and send it using the shipping flow after checkout (labels / instructions on the order).
  3. We bench-verify, clear crash data or reset where supported, then return tracked.

Postal service prices are shown on each product page in the shop — they are separate from online BIN files.

If your part number appears as both an online file and a postal listing, choose the option that fits your workshop setup — DIY EEPROM programmer vs send-in service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a crash data reset file?
A crash data reset file is a virgin (unfired) EEPROM image for a specific airbag control module. When written to the module’s memory chip, it clears all stored crash event data recorded during a vehicle collision, resetting the airbag warning light.
How is the file delivered?
All crash data reset files are delivered instantly as digital downloads after payment. You receive a download link by email immediately after purchase — available 24/7.
What equipment do I need?
You need an EEPROM programmer compatible with the chip type in your module (e.g. Orange5, VVDI Prog, CG Pro, or similar professional tools). The chip type is shown on the product page (e.g. 95160, 95320, 93C56, MPC5604).
Do you support my vehicle brand?
We support 18+ vehicle brands including Ford, BMW, Mercedes, VW/Audi, Peugeot/Citroën, Toyota, Hyundai/Kia, Land Rover, Honda, Fiat, Nissan, Suzuki and more. Browse by brand or search your exact part number.
What does a crash data reset cost?
Online reset files: standard memory types (95160, 95320, 95640) start from £30; complex modules with advanced processors (SPC56, MPC5604, MC9S12) are £60 — exact price is on each product page. UK postal bench services are priced separately on their own listings.
Can I send my module instead of downloading a file?
Yes — if you prefer not to use an EEPROM programmer, use our UK postal bench service where listed. Browse Airbag/SRS postal, steering angle (SAS), or see how postal service works on the crash data page.
Do you offer steering angle sensor (SAS) reset?
Yes — SAS-related postal services are in the SAS shop category where your part number is supported. Online BIN crash-data files remain separate from SAS postal listings. Where your module and workflow support it, we also address the C1433 — Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit fault; see the C1433 and SAS module guide for typical causes on Toyota / Lexus and the controller part numbers we track from tooling reference lists.
Is it safe to reset crash data?
The file itself is safe when used on the correct module. However, airbag systems are critical safety devices. Always ensure all deployed airbags and damaged sensors are physically replaced before clearing crash data. Never just clear the data without replacing damaged components.
Can I reset multiple deployments?
Each reset file is for single use on one module. If an airbag module has recorded multiple deployment events, one reset file will clear all of them. A separate file is needed for each unique part number.
⚠️

Safety Information

Airbag systems are critical safety devices. Always disconnect the vehicle battery and wait at least 15 minutes before working on airbag modules. Ensure all deployed airbags and damaged sensors are replaced before clearing crash data.
